I've always wanted to see the Northern Lights, anywhere! The aurora borealis over Finland just made an even more spectacular display with something called, a "curtain aurora." Most commonly aurora borealis displays are more diffused. Curtain auroras display parallel beams and are much brighter and crisp.

I can imagine how awestruck primative peoples must have been when they saw the Northern lights and what magical explanations they inspired. The video below is shot in real time looking up at the northern lights dancing in the sky!
