I do have conservative friends.
We vehemently disagree on things sometimes but they are good people, otherwise I wouldn't call them friends. I often wonder about their friends sometimes though. The foul things that come out of their mouths and how they cannot stand being asked to examine the facts or to be civil. i notice they also tend to comment on someone's appearance or call them names rather than address particular things they disagree with. I have no tolerance for hateful speech or the laziness of bigotry or jokes that drop any tie to political satire and become plain old hate speech. I've really worked hard at biting my tongue but sometimes I get angry and have to let her rip! hen I have to let it go.
A few years back I considered moving to Pennsylvania, near Pittsburgh but when I visited I was so shocked by some of the backwards thinking, the bigotry and ignorance that I didn't think I could survive there without getting in fights all the time. Then there was the weather.
Here is an example screenshot from an exchange I had with one ignorant troll today. I almost said nothing but I've had it with the racist disrespectful memes and comments made about our president. It really frightens me that people are this stupid sometimes. I've blocked out my friend's name, the rest can own their tacky talk!
