Pictures of the bath taken Sept 7, 2011 I always clean up after myself but my housemate literally does nothing. She cleaned the bath August 1st and then did nothing for nearly 2 months

This is how my housemate usually leaves the bathtub, full of hair and soap scum, sometimes with dead bugs and cat litter. She just leaves it for the next person to clean up. You have to clean it because the tub backs up ad you don't want all that crap swirling around your legs. The bathmat is covered in ground in crap and squashed roach carcasses. We always leave the shower clean for her.This is why I have only used the shower here 4 times in two months.

It's always the other housemate & sometimes myself who cleans this box and the floor becomes a muddy mess because of toilet leaks. I would never just expect someone to clean up after my cat.

I use the bathroom as little as possible. When I brush my teeth, I rinse or wipe out the sink, I clean the toilet seat every day, when I do use the shower, I leave it pristine.
After over a month of my housemate not lifting a finger (none of the crud seems to bother her. She just keeps adding to the filth,) suddenly she wants it clean because she has a date coming home.
So one night I come home, clean up a mass of cat shit out of the box and scrub something that looks like caked on shit off the toilet seat before I can even pee. Then I get a text the next day with an ultimatum suddenly informing me that I had agreed to clean the bathroom every other week. What? A) I didn't agree to this B) I'd be fine with that agreement if she did basic cleaning up after herself.
She busts her ass cleaning her room before this date, but decides it's my job to clean her mess in the bathroom. I had a migraine and had to go buy a toilet brush because there wasn't one. She then pitched a fit and did herself. even though I told her that I had just spent my last $15 buying a toilet brush and cleaning supplies and that I was on my way home to do it. Meanwhile she planned to steer her date clear of the kitchen so she threw even more crap in there. These pictures were tsken that morning 09/20.2011

So, since she beat me to the punch, on the bathroom I had to do something. I didn't feel obligated but I couldn't stand it anymore. I had to get some of the negative juju out!

It was promised that the kitchen would be clean before I moved in. That never happened. I lined up friends to come help clean but she didn't want anyone else to see it so it was then promised twice that her mom was going to come help. That never happened and the kitchen was really so gross and overwhelming that I just decided not to use it.

She buys food but sometimes it never makes it more than a few feet inside the front door, often perishables don't make it to the fridge. They just become offerings to the roaches. Food inside the fridge is just allowed to mold and rot. until Joe or I get fed up and toss it. The sink is full of dirty molding dishes, food, roaches, cat food cans, dead plants and various objects that do not belong in the sink. She just continues to pile more stuff on top. The floor and table are a depository for pretty much everything. After she mopped the bath floor she left the mop bucket full of dirty water and track by the back door.

As of October third, more trash had been piled on top and around it. Anyway on September 21st I spent several hours cleaning as much as I could., washing dishes, rinsing others and soaking them, throwing out trash and bad food, changing the roach and filth laden table cloth, sweeping and mopping, etc. These photos are before I cleaned. None of this mess is mine. I went to use the microwave once and there were dead roaches that had been smashed in the door. That was it for me.

Under that plate on the stove was a bunch of mango pulp sitting there for a few days it appeared and a pot of burned rice.

The bowl in here is covered with mold and as of 10/03 is still sitting in the fridge along with the pizza. The veggies and fruit don't show it in the photo but they are moldy and in fact the second shelf had rotton veggie slime soup on it.

I guess this is mop water from her cleaning the bathroom the day before. Who just leaves filthy mop water like this? And it's still there 10/3 I only left it because I had already cleaned for more than 4 hours and was feeling pretty sick. This is also why I use a swiffer mop!

All those dishes are clean. There's nowhere to really put them away.

10/24/2011 3 days later.......

This rug was given to her by friends and has been blocking the hallway since before I moved in. The cat flea collar was purchased opened and then I guess she was too tired to put in on her cat? So, just left in the hall.

so we just leave bags with cat food and groceries/produce in the hall for the roaches and for people to trip on. These sat there for several days before I just said screw it and put them away.
