Wow! *shakes head* People sure don't like to listen to opinions they don't share or have their ivory towers rattled! Heaven forbid!
I really thought we had made strides in culture awareness and checking our privilege, but no, I think there's a resurgence happening, some kind of messed up backlash. Entitlement is being vehemently defended at the same time there's denial that there is any privilege or entitlement going on! How do we solve this people?

BUT I CAN HAZ BIRTHDAY TREAT (A DAY EARLY)
My friend Molly treated me to seeing Neil Gaiman!
I was lucky to grab a seat quite close. Here, Neil tells us a story he wrote for This American Life that never aired. He's totally amped the wild hair up by rockin' the beard. He was funny and fascinating. He shared interesting anecdotes and shared insight into his process & how the intro to a not so great, Harlan Ellison story, got him out of his rut of not finishing a story! He talked about how he came to do Sandman. There were tidbits about sequels to Neverwhere and American Gods new interesting prospects for the first Sandman film.
Also, he confirmed that there may in fact, be a portal to Narnia in his hair. (First audience question)
