Major Saturday morning LOLZ!
When you get it...
*sigh* Remember when you were a teenager and you could pull all nighters for several days running? Then in your 20's you can still do it but you have to go to sleep sooner? Notice how it gets harder & harder to function without sleep, the older you become?
Well, I've reached that point where I've been up all night and then some. I still can't sleep but I am too tired to really function! I have a day I'd like to get on with or a nap I'd like to take and neither are indulging me.

It's Almost My Birthday!
Impending birthday blues. Well, not quite blues, just wishing it was coming a little later when it could feel more festive.
Bozo, (a friend's clever dub, not mine, but it's both funny & fitting) has done her worst to harsh my happy and leave me stressed out.
Also, it looks like I no can haz birthday "date" this year. If I planned to spend my birthday alone that would be great, but I'm feeling the need for some special treatment. I hate to admit it, but sometimes The Empress needs to be treated like a princess, Dammit.

Driving was scary today!
People are driving even more crazy than usual! First, I nearly got hit by a swerving, speeding Mercedes. (This is why i don't mess with other things while I'm driving. One has to be alert to avoid numbskulls like that one!) Next a huge U Haul tailgated me and when I finally got out of the way, after the 880 split, it zoomed off at 80/85 mph trying to zip in between cars as if it was a small sports car. Right after that an even bigger Restoration Hardware track swerved around me hitting the curve of the off ramp to downtown so fast it looked like it might tip!
Being in that much of a hurry is like a death wish. You can't get where you're going if you're dead people!

Clearly, someone needs to do something about this! I have never seen a piece of lint this big, heavy and soft. It moves of its own accord but only when it wants to. And it makes noises like it's talking. I think it wants to eat me! Scary stuff I tell you!
And, these clients go away every year around my birthday. I have spent nearly every birthday for the last 13 years at their house. They left me 2 bottles of wine for my birthday! I just may fix myself something yummy on Monday & crack one open.The downside is I will probably keep birthday noshing simple. Since the power being out for a week spoiled most of my food stash and my food stamps got pulled due to a social services screw up I need to really watch my cash flow! But yippee wine!
Also, this is a sucky night to have to lose an hour! I'm at one of my favorite places with two of my favorite fluffy beasts. I thought I was going to sleep in a little & hang out until afternoon with them, but I just realized that tomorrow I have to be in the south bay for an event early in the afternoon.
I have 2 other jobs to do before I leave, one in El Cerrito, the other way up in the hills. So knowing that I don't sleep well, the early that I will have to get up, shower and split just got earlier!
