This is Sue Sue who, being an Italian Greyhound (Honey I shrunk the greyhound!), is easily distracted while learning to sit and wait on the car seat. There's always a noise, a bird or a puff of air to catch her attention! Sue Sue is a rescue who shuffled from place to place and was literally skin & bones when I first met her. Now she's appropriately svelte, charming and very needy. She loves to come to my house.
I started to doze off (early for me) but the wind is banging my window screen! My little moth friend should be glad I brought him inside. He'd have blown away! I keep thinking I should name him, but I'm sure he doesn't have a long lifespan. He's very handsome & would need a dashing moniker!
Ouch! I feel like my head is going to explode! Not sure if I'm glad my head can't really blow up ('cause that's what it feels like it wants to do) or if the brain explosion might be a welcome relief! Must find a way to soldier through.
IN HAPPIER NEWS THOUGH:
Just found out I am going to see Rush in August after all! Thanks to my friend, Paul!
Did some weeding tonight and thought I saw a big bumble buzzing at my feet. It was a big fat moth. I'm pretty sure it's a Clark's Sphinx, but his forewings are all mangled. So she's been hanging out on my sleeve all night. I suddenly noticed excited cats & saved her just in time. Now I've got her in a jar with flowers and whatnot. She seems happy. Might be totally wrong on the Sphynx identification. I need to get a better look and try to identify him.
I have a love of moths. I kind of consider them a totem animal. This one's a big, furry, fatty guy a little over an inch long. I'll try to get pictures tomorrow when the light is better.
